Kansas Travel Guide

When to visit Kansas

Kansas experiences four diverse seasons, but the best time to visit varies from region to region. For instance, Flint Hills' wildflowers bloom in late spring, while the trees along the eastern edge of the state turn bright autumn colors in mid-October. For most of the state, summer is the most popular time to visit, mainly because schools are on break and the warm weather offers ideal conditions for those traveling by car. The fall can also be an ideal time to visit, because it is characterized by mild weather and less rain than summer. Kansas also hosts many conventions, with the highest number taking place in the spring and fall. read more
