A trip to Florida's Emerald Coast can save you a little green this spring with the launch of commercial service from newcomer Vision Airlines. The warm weather and award-winning white-sand beaches of Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island, and the other towns and cities of the Emerald Coast offer travelers an affordable chance to get a jump on that summer feeling.
Just in time for spring, Vision Airlines will begin service from more than 20 cities starting in March, with fares from $79 each way. In late March and early April, new routes will connect Destin with more than a dozen departure cities, including Asheville and Little Rock. The airline has also just announced a Spring Break Seat Sale, with a limited number of fares from $59 each way this spring and summer; flights must be booked by March 7.
The Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau's Emerald Specials round up discounts at hotels and resorts. For instance, save up to 25 percent off select units at The Terrace at Pelican Beach resort through April, or get a fourth night free at the Holiday Surf and Racquet Club.
