Feast of San Gennaro, New York City

New York City

For 11 days in September, New York's Little Italy turns into a rollicking street fair for the Feast of San Gennaro. 2007 marks the festival's 80th year of serving cannoli, sausage, pizza, and other Italian specialties in honor of the patron saint of Naples. More than 300 street vendors, plus area restaurants, will be participating; there also will be a cannoli-eating competition, live music concerts, and a procession. The festival dates are September 13 through 23, and admission is free.
