Get youth discounts even after you graduate

If you’re a recent college graduate, you’re probably grappling with the fact that now you have to pay full price for all those attractions and travel services you used to enjoy at lower student prices. But before you run off and apply to grad school, you should know there are still many “youth” travel discounts available to travelers under age 26, whether you are enrolled in school or not. Access thousands of travel discounts with youth cards like the International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) or the Euro<26 card.

The IYTC Card is sold by the same organization that sells the ISIC student discount card. Though the discounts aren’t as abundant as what you’d get with a student card, the IYTC offers anyone under 26 respectable savings on attractions, activities, transportation, accommodations, and more. The card costs $22 plus shipping. You can buy an IYTC and search online for available discounts by location.

If you’re going to Europe, you may also want to consider getting the Euro<26 youth discount card, which entitles you to travel and entertainment discounts in 41 European countries. You can buy the card at locations in participating countries or for €14 (about $22; see XE.com for current exchange rates).
