Julie writes, "My best friends and I are turning 30 next year, and would love to plan an exciting adventurous vacation. We live in the southeast US and would like to go in February or March. Our budget is no more than $700 per person. Also, we would share a room. Please help!"

My brain almost short circuits when I start thinking about places where you can celebrate. There are so many destinations that would be perfect for a birthday bash, such as spots in the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, and Canada. I'm going to focus on places that are a particularly good deal during this time. Traveling in February or March can help save cash because these months are considered off-season for several popular destinations.

Adventure can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. I'm assuming that you're saying you'd like to experience something out of the ordinary. But, just to be on the safe side—you know what they say about assuming—I'm going to also recommend a destination that not only provides an unusual experience, but offers heart-racing activities.

A vacation provider like go-today.com offers a range of different packages, including fly-and-drive, city getaways, and guided tours to places all over the world. I priced a package to Budapest in February starting at $609 per person (without taxes and fees), which includes round-trip airfare from New York City (different departure cities are available at a higher price), six-night accommodations, daily continental breakfast, airport fuel surcharges, and hotel taxes. Once you have transportation and lodging booked, you can start the fun process of planning what to do when you get there through the city's tourism website. Budapest may not be known for its adenaline-inducing activities, but the city is filled with more low-key and cultural things to do like cycling through the city, warming up in Europe's largest thermal baths complex, crawling through passages on a cave tour, or taking a scenic chair lift up the Buda Hills.

If you want something a bit more daredevil, Costa Rica may be just the ticket to celebrate your birthdays in style. Here, you can zip-line through trees, walk through a forest in the clouds, try your hand at whitewater rafting, or take a nature tour. Plus, you can enjoy the local culture and entertainment of the city at night. I priced packages to San Jose in February starting at $448 per person (with taxes and fees) through Expedia. The deal includes round-trip airfare from Miami (other departure cities are available at a higher price) and four-night accommodations.

It's still a bit early to find deals for February, but it's a great time to start looking, especially if you want to find a bundled package (which may be the best route for your budget). If you come across a particularly attractive deal, be sure to compare prices to make sure you're getting the most out of your money. Also, it pays to read other traveler's reviews of hotels on our sister site, TripAdvisor, before booking.

Wherever you decide to go or how you end up celebrating, I wish you and your friends the happiest of birthdays and the best of luck in finding the cheapest of deals.

SOS! in October this year i will be celebrating 50 years of life. My sister lives in England and I live in the Boston, MA. area. Our plan is to meet somewhere exciting in Europe for a 7-12 day vacation. The place should be fun, a little cultural, and potentially mix in some food and wine, enjoying as well as preparing. The budget is around 2000-2500. Is there a deal out there that fits the bill?

My fiance and I are currently planning a honeymoon for September 2010. We'll be happy no matter where we go, but with a world full of options and a limited budget of $3000-$4000 we can't seem to make any decisions. We would love any advice we can get!

I'm looking for a 3 generation family anniversary vacation spot at the middle of June 2010 that would be reasonable (about $500-$600 p/p)including airfare, hotel and exciting activities for 5-72 yrs old! Could be overseas or US - possibly Alaska, Costa Rica or a cruise that we could drive to from Balto-DC area! Thanks!

Alright, my friend and I want to take a trip over my Christmas break. We want to get out of the country, but we really do not care what location it is. I have off from Dec 19 through Jan. 3. We would like to spend less than $800 total, but could squeeze a little more if we need to. What are the best spots for Christmastime for two single guys?

I'm looking for an interesting vacation with lots to see and do. Cruising, hotels, educational programs - almost anything is fine. I'm 60, my husband doesn't like to travel so I'd be on my own, and I'd like my own room without having to pay a single's supplement. Since I don't want to feel out of place, do you have vacation ideas for people in circumstance similar to mine?

For the honeymooners, I would definitely recommend an all-inclusive resort. For our honeymoon my wife and I went to the Riu in Ocho Rios in Jamaica for 6 nights, 7 days and with airfare, transfers, taxes, food, drinks - practically everything included it was only about $1,400 / person. The resort is only a few years old and Ocho Rios offers many activities including a walk up the famous Dunn's River Falls. It was an amazing experience and a place that we'll definitely visit again!

My mother is getting older in her early 70's, but still can travel and get around. I want to go on a vacation with her. It would be our first time to the Hawaiian Islands. All my older acquaintances recommended we go there! We just want to relax, shop..mostly window shop, and have some fun together and with others we meet. And get pampered too!! We don't want it to be in a city but want to be able to go where there is great shopping and restaurants. We can spend 2000 each in total at the most. This would be for next year. My mom has always gone to Las Vegas and I go to Mexico.....but we want to go where we both haven't been....any other destinations that would suit someone older and someone younger at the same time?
