Copy Editor Julianne Lowell has been with Smarter Travel Media since June of 2012, when she settled in Boston after living in North Carolina, Texas, and New York City.

She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's degree in English. Soon after, she attended a post-graduate publishing course at the University of Denver then moved to New York City to work at Penguin. She has lived in Florence and traveled all over Italy, as well as in Spain, France, Denmark, and Amsterdam. She has done a good deal of traveling within the United States, with her most recent trip being a lengthy stay in San Francisco and Portland.

Before coming to Smarter Travel, Julianne worked at Pearson Education in Boston and Penguin Young Readers Group in New York City.
