New Hilton Bonus: 1,000 or 2,000 Points Per Night
Following the widely derided changes to its award chart, Hilton might have been expected to attempt to appease disgruntled HHonors members with a particularly generous 2nd-quarter promotion.
Any such expectations were subverted by today's announcement of the details of Hilton's new bonus offer.
Offer Details
Between April 1 and June 30, HHonors members can earn 1,000 bonus points for each weekday night and 2,000 bonus points for each weekend night (Friday, Saturday, Sunday in most regions) of their stays at participating Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, Hilton, Embassy Suites, DoubleTree, Hilton Grand Vacations, Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, and Hampton hotels.
There's no limit to the number of bonus points members may earn during the promotion.
Registration is required.
Deal or No Deal
Depending on their earning preferences, HHonors members earn at least 10 points per $1 spent at most Hilton brands. So a $100 night nets 1,000 points, plus bonus points or airline miles.
In that case, this promotion's 1,000 bonus points for weekday nights amounts to earning double base points. That's a lackluster bonus. The 2,000-point bonus for weekend nights is better, but hardly the shock-and-awe offer that HHonors members may have been hoping for.
