New Best Western Offer: 1,000 Bonus Points
Since May 19, Best Western has featured one of the summer's best hotel bonuses: a free night after three stays by September 1.
Perhaps the hurdle was too high -- for leisure travelers, three stays is a lot -- because Best Western now has a second bonus offer for summer stays that is rewarding from the get-go.
Between June 23 and September 1, Best Western Rewards members can earn 1,000 bonus points for every qualifying stay booked on Best Western's website or mobile app.
There's no limit to the number of times the bonus may be earned.
Separately, there's a discount of "up to 20%" on offer for Flexible Rate stays at participating hotels booked on Best Western's website.
Registration is required for the points offer, but not for the discount.
Deal or No Deal
Best Western Rewards members normally earn 10 points for every $1 spent. So earning a 1,000-point bonus for a one-night $100 stay would amount to earning twice the normal points. Better than nothing, but probably not a game-changer for most.
For those anticipating multiple Best Western stays before September 1, the company's free-night offer is a much richer promotion than the bonus-points offer.
As for the discount on Flexible Rate bookings, look before you book. The rates may be significantly higher than the AAA rates (which are often the best available), and no more flexible.
