Earn Triple Points for Summer Stays at Country Inns
The latest entry in the summer line-up of hotel promotions is a triple-points offer for stays at Country Inns & Suites.
Between June 1 and September 1, members of the Club Carlson program can earn triple points for stays of two or more nights at more than 450 Country Inns & Suites hotels in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
To receive the bonus, bookings must be made by May 31.
Registration is required, and must also be completed by May 31.
Deal or No Deal
Club Carlson members normally earn 20 points per $1 spent for Country Inns stays. With the bonus, that will increase to 60 points per $1.
In short, triple points would be a rich enough incentive to put Country Inns on the list of prospects for mid-market stays.
What will make this promotion a non-starter for many is the advance-booking requirement. Plan your trip and reserve your room up to three months ahead of time? For most travelers, that's just not realistic.
If the marketing managers at Club Carlson are serious about increasing summer bookings at Country Inns, they should consider making the bonus more attainable, by adjusting or removing altogether the advance-booking stipulation. Otherwise, this offer will do little for the company, or for its customers.
