well lit and airy
THIS HOTEL WAS A GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY AT A WEEKEND PRICE. IF PLANNING TO MOSTLY STAY DOWNTOWN (I.E. SOHO), IT'S A GOOD CHOICE.
The location was just ok, it was a very desolate area at night. The restaurant and bar was great, however, the staff wasn't that friendly. Also I had to go through inspection every time I entered the hotel because a dignitary was staying there. It was such a hassle.

The Ritz-Carlton in Battery Park has an efficient and friendly staff. The rooms are lovely. The internet access is good, making it easy to work there. The food is delicious and creative. Finally, if you are lucky enough to be on the water side of the hotel you will have an exquisite view of the Statue of Liberty and a telescope with which to view it.
