I have nothing bad to say about this particular property. In fact, I e-mailed the GM and told him everything good about my stay with them and plan on making them my regular hotel in New Orleans.
Room was small but comfortable. The front desk staff is very helpful with information and working with you in case you would like to check in early. The main advice I would give is to take the shuttle from the airport instead of renting a car, as parking is via valet only and is located remotely from the hotel.
the hotel was like a madhouse. just too busy
This hotel offered more than I expected especially after the devastation of Katrina. I could not find any problems with this establishment. After our speedy check-in the desk clerk took time to find out our interests and recommended many sights to see and restaurants to visit. The room was cleaner than I expected with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to New Orleans.
I love Courtyard by Marriott--I can depend on it to be consistently clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. I am faithful to Marriott brands because of this. I am in a Renaissance right now as I type this:)
