Close to all the things that we wanted to go to. Had valet parking that was easy also. Nice rooms too.
This property was a great location for the business meeting we were attending and close to the interstate. Staff was courteous and friendly. For those traveling to Austin as tourists, this location is within walking distance of the capitol sites and even the Texas History Museum, as well as entertainment on 6th Street. Rates are reasonable for the accommodation provided.
Everything was fine with me.
1st room assigned smelled of mold and mildew. Asked and was assigned another room. Our organization was over charged nearly $400.
The LaQuinta Capitol was absolutely delightful in all respects. The location could not be beaten for easy access both to capitol business and nearby eateries and nightlife. Having recently been refurbished, the hotel was even cleaner than the LaQuinta standard, which i find to be very high. The staff, from the valet parkers to overnight front desk, were all youthful, energetic, knowledgeable, and extremely polite and kind. The room rates, although variable, simply cannot be beaten, especially for this location. I would highly recommend this to any and all travelers, except for those who must have fancy-schmancy creature comforts and/or five star ratings of luxury.
