Hotel incorrectly billed to wrong credit card (billed entire stay on card I presented for incidental expenses rather than the corporate card secretary originally booked with). When I discovered the problem, the staff did not respond to issue until third phone call to them.
I liked the convenience of the hotel which was near a major freeway and a veryyshort distance from the hi-tech firms in Santa Clara which would appeal to travelers who have to go to those companies on business. It is also a very quiet hotel that has it's own restaurant. One problem I encountered was when I arrived in my room after checking in, the sheets were not clean and had stuff on them (I'm still not sure what it was). However, the staff came promptly to fix the problem and put clean sheets on. Otherwise I had an enjoyable stay although I really didn't spend much time in the hotel other than sleep. From a tourist's perspective it is not really close to anything other than the Intel Museum and the Great America theme park.
The hotel is new-looking and large. It has a restaurant on premises but I didn't visit it during my stay so I can't rate it. The hotel is very convenient if you're driving with a large free parking lot and quick access to a major freeway. It is also close to the airport in San Jose. The bed in my room was dirty and had stuff on the sheets when I first entered but that was taken care of by staff right away although they didn't express sorrow about it (as I recall--it was several months ago when I stayed there). Overall the staff was rather cold toward me (maybe because I purchased it on Hotwire?)
Not overly thorough room light maintenance, multiple burnt out bulbs, loose lampshades, etc.
