Location on the Bay was spectacular. Rooms and service were excellent considering the large crowd they were hosting that weekend. All requests were responded to promptly. It was a memorable experience and I've lived in Florida for over 30 years.
The only inconvenience was that we had walk outside to reach the meeting rooms and were served our meals in another location than the meeting rooms. The location on the Gulf was magnificent and the staff were outstanding in their service.
Our stay at the Helmsley Sandcastle was wonderful. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the wait staff at the restaurants to the room services people was wonderful. We stayed in a gulf view room and the view was breathtaking! We watched the sunset from the beach outside our room every night! The seafood in the restaurant is the best on the east coast! The area and the neighborhood of the hotel are wonderful and a quick 5 minute drive to the nightlife downtown. A more joyful experience couldn't have been had! We plan on going back to Sarasota just so that we can stay at the Helmsley Sandcastle again.
