  • Very expensive and underwhelming. Small, very dark, bedroom. Seemed dirty. Elevators were slow to arrive. Bad experience.

  • Loved the location. Very expensive. Made reservation at last minute on telephone and the rate was not met when we arrived. We paid more than quoted but chose to stay anyway.
  • This hotel has a great location near many attraction and close to public transportation. The rooms are adequate and typical of a nicer New York City hotel. The building is older but has all modern ammenities and a classic feel.
  • It was a nice hotel, conveniently located, decent sized rooms (particularly by NYC standards). Probably not worth the 'rack rate', but if you can get a good discount, go for it!

  • rooms are ridiculously small - ended up in 2 double twin beds rather than one double for two very full sizee people - had to put luggage in closet and under desk and chair on top of closet to fit thigns in room and still clsoe the door. beds were on platforms of wood and poles. very nice decor, but way too small for americans. good location
  • I like the style of the hotel and the location was perfect for me. I would let tourists know that this is a place to feel like you are in a posh and hip spot. Almost like a constant nightclub party.

  • The service was fantastic. It was for a special occassion, and they took the time to ensure our needs and special requests were met.
  • The Union Square location is perfect for downtown activities and the doormen are superb in hailing taxis and when they are necessasry. The rooms are comfortable, clean and safe. Having such a fantastic restaurant, Olive, right downstairs also makes dining so enjoyable. I am always sure to recommend the W Union Square to anyone travelling to New York. It isn't quite as expensive as some of the other hotels and offers the same, if not better service and accomodations.
  • Liked it a lot, especially if you are younger. IT is hip and very trendy the hotel bar/lounge is excellent and are a few nice bars around the area
