  • The check-in staff was exceptional - I was very pleased with their friendly and helpful attitudes. The check-out staff in the morning was a bit indifferent. The facilities, namely in the lobby, were absolutely fantastic. The evening welcoming party with free alcoholic beverages was great- it served as a wonderful mixer to meet new people. The location of the room was horrible - right next to this hotel was a Mexican food restaurant which played loud music until 2:00 a.m. I know this is a bit out of the hotel's control, but I would have preferred the choice of getting a room on the side farthest from the restaurant since I had to get up at 6:00 a.m. But, to my disappointment, I was placed on the side closest to the restaurant and did not know until I finally went to my room to turn in for the evening around 11:00 p.m. I was told that there was a security guard on duty-but I never saw him. I was greatly concerned about security because I had stayed at a different hotel in the same town the night before and was approached by a drug dealer. Although this Embassy Suites was in a much better location, I still would have preferred more of a security presence.
