  • EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT, THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, FOOD WAS GREAT, GOOD ATMOSPHERE, JUST GREAT, KEEP UP YHE GOOD JOB.
  • Everything about the location was great, not a complaint. The cordless phone in the room went belly up and was finally replaced. The meeting room was not adequate for the size of the group and could have been remedied with another room.

  • The Sheraton Gunther does a very nice job of trying to maintain the 'Old Texas' atmosphere. I found th bathroom facilities to be barely acceptable. Lighting is not good and closets are interesting to say the least.
  • My guest room was larger than most, the room amenities were nice, the hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful -- excellent service. However, couldn't seem to get the room as cool as I would have liked. Also, after departure I realized that I had been overcharged for parking.

  • Check-in took 40 min. of waiting in line. Told that guests did not check-out at proper time so arriving guestd could not check in at 3 p.m. as rooms were not ready.
  • My husband and I recently stayed at the Gunter hotel in San Antonio. We had a very plesant stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was suprisingly very comfortable. The breakfast was not that impressive, but the lunch was amazing. All of the staff went out of their way to be plesant and accomodating. The only complaint was that it took us two hours to get checked-in. The staff was very apologetic and gave us free drink coupons and breakfast coupons. Also, we were told that we would be given a room on one of the higher floors so that we would have a good view. Our window looked out to a brick wall. However, the location of the hotel and comfort made up for the lack of view. Some advice, instead of paying for hotel parking you can go across the street and pay at the city garage. It was much cheaper.
