  • Very pleased with the Palmer House Hilton, service and room were excellent. Great location in downtown Chicago. Great history to the place. Will stay there again when in Chicago.
  • The Palmer House is undergoing major renovation, but my stay was fine. My only complaint is with the bathroom. It was small (hard to close the door with someone inside) and the double was supposed to have two but didn't.
  • Location was perfect for my class and for sight-seeing. The room was very large and very comfortable. Service was impeccable as usual. It's under renovation now, so I'd suggest going in 2009.
  • Great location and beautifully renovated. Great service, excellent fitness facilities. Convenient to all downtown locations.
  • Problem was ultimately resolved the same night-rough evening for the PH, losing their electricity. Staff was courteous and helped customers throughout 'blackout'. Our problem was no crib, although we asked for one at reservation, reminded them at check-in, and had to call to ask for one several times. After several calls, three cribs arrived at our room within 15 minutes! PH staff were apologetic (except for one in particular) and friendly. The rest of our stay (3 days) was wonderful. We returned last month to have dinner at their restaurant, Big Chicago, and were disappointed to learn it was closed.

  • Although the line moved quite slowly at check-in, once at the desk the clerk was kind & our reservation was accurate. The room was well appointed & has been nicely updated since my last stay.
  • The room was fine, clean, everything you would expect. It cost about $220/night and I was disappointed that there was no free high-speed internet access. iw ould think at that price free internet would be doable. The discount hotel chains can do it, why not the 4 and 5 star hotels?
  • This is a great old hotel, very elegant and the rooms are big, but beds are small. We booked through a discount site and got a negative welcome at arrival due to this. But the rest of our stay and encounters with staf were great. I do recommend this hotel.
  • As usual, I truly enjoyed staying at The Palmer House Hilton Hotel while attending the Midwest Clinic. It is a class hotel.
  • The hotel was gorgeous! It was in a great location for after work entertainment.
  • Location. Traditional, historic building, clean, friendly, and famous.
  • Construction was horrible. I understand the need for renovation but it was miserable stay because of the construction.

  • I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was beautiful, with comfortable rooms, very conveniently located in downtown Chicago. The staff was helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. The only error was that I had requested a nonsmoking room, and at first received a smoking room. That was corrected.
  • Good location, close to the 'L'. Other people staying there treated us like low lives, as if they were more classy than us even though we stayed in an executive suite. Would stay somewhere else just because of that.
  • The hotel was remodeling, which caused a bit of problems but nothing I couldn't handle. Converting an older hotel meant we had one bathroom and not two, and the one was small, but it worked. Being downtown was handy.
  • My sister works at the 'Palmer house'..that's the reason i was there. This was a very good experience for me, this is a very good hotel...they were very atentive. Nobody was rude, everybody was very nice..They treated me with kind and respect. This hotel made me feel like I was at home...this is more than a home than just a hotel. I only live 2 and a half hours from Chicage, so it's not too far, I will come back soon!! I live near Bloomington/Normal..ILLINOIS
