The location was good, but the hotel, which we had been told was new, clearly was not, and in need of some repair. There was a room in the breakfast area with a big leak in the ceiling, the key cards worked sporadically, the tv remote hardly worked at all, the bathroom was tiny for a so called 'suite' and could have used a new tub, and floor, which were both stained. The air conditioner didn't work very well, there were only a handful of tv stations available and about a third were in Spanish. Basically the whole place was run down. The waiter in the restaurant was great, but the food was less tasty than McDonald's and a lot more expensive. The pool looked great although it was too cold to use and we didn't have time anyway. We won't stay there again.
Rooms were recently redone, but still some rough areas (e.g., elevators). Room amenities have improved over the last few years including new furniture, wireless internet, and bedding. It has worked great for smaller meetings relatively close to the University of Arizona for reasonable prices.
The rooms and the hotel itself are overall very nice, though the hotel is older and there are some minor repair issues. I've stayed at this hotel several times and it's always been clean and the rooms are spacious. I especially like the jacuzzi suites.
