I am a bi-lateral amputee. When I reserved the room, I explained that I needed special bathing items (chair on which to sit, hand-held shower spray device). I was told that that was no problem. When I arrived, to my dismay I discovered that it was a plain room, with no disabled accessible bathroom fixtures. I was assured that that would be arranged the next morning. When next morning arrived the manager brought me a plastic lawn chair to put in the shower area. I had made the reservation for three nights. After the mistreatment, I notified the manager 2 hours before check-in time on the 2nd day, that I would be checking out the next morning, and would not be staying the 3rd night. He assured me that he would make the necessary adjustments to my credit card bill. That was early in September, and to this day (12/28/2007) I have heard nothing from him. I notified the parent organization of Rodeway Inns about the problem. They later informed me that they had notified the manager @ Palatine Bridge Rodeway Inn, and he would get in touch with me. Unfortunately, I can do no more. I believe that I am owed the cost of the 3rd night, but I have no way to further my case. I've resigned myself to that fact.
