  • The Mayflower was lovely; elegant, refined, and full of history, but not drab or tired. The service was excellent, particularly the concierge desk. My only complaint was that we couldn't get change from the front desk for a cab, because it was before 9AM. We were told that they wouldn't be getting change until 9AM that morning, which, in my opinion, is unacceptable. They should have bills on hand for people who need change. Taxis are needed at all hours.
  • I thought it was an absolutely gorgeous hotel with great service and amenities. They have excellent group rates. My only complaint was the giant waterbug in the bathroom.
  • Excellent hotel for a meeting. Promptly gave me a new room when my internet connection failed. Overall, an excellent stay!
  • for a highly rated hotel - most everything - service, food, mtg facilities were very average - very small room - poor internet connections-had problems that were never resolved prior to check-out
  • it was amazing!!!
  • Great location, terrific hotel, excellent concierge and club room -- well worth the cost to upgrade to concierge/club level.
  • Making the reservation I wanted was easy online. Check-in, room service, the fitness room, and other facilities were all top notch, as was housekeeping. Comfort, cleanliness, and location were wonderful. The only off note was a loud family group occupying several rooms and much of the hallway during my stay.
  • noisy machinery outside overnight great restaurant to see politicians great location
  • Hotel was as expected. Too much noise outside. Room was near a large HVAC system
  • Great renovation of an historic hotel. Very nice and knowledgeable concierge. Lovely spacious room, excellent amenities. Great concierge-level lounge and services.
  • The hotel wss lovely, though I thought the room was a bit over-priced for what it was. The location worked well for the conference I attended. The only problem was that my supervisor booked the room using his credit card, he explained to the staff that I would not have that government credit card with me upon check in. He was told that all the arrangements were made, and that I did not need the card. However, when I checked in, the staff wanted the card. I ended up using my own card to pay a couple of the nights so that I could have a room. Then my supervisor had to contact the hotel, have a credit card authorization form faxed to him (He was traveling at the same time, but not to the same location. Fortunately he did have access to a fax machine.) sign the form and fax it back to the hotel. If he had been told all of this up front by the hotel staff that booked the stay, my check in (which was after midnight local time) could have been handled more smoothly and my stress level a lot less.
  • It's a good hotel; the meeting I was attending was there so I stayed there.
  • The Mayflower is a lovely old lady.
  • Lovely facility, centrally located. staff was friendly, helpful. Mtg room set up was very nice, not too crowded. Food was better than average and of a nice variety, health conscious, not overly sweet laden.
  • I always say at the Myflower when in washington, am a lifetime member off Marriott platinum elite club and get upgraded to a suite on my stays. Great location, wonderful staff.
  • Perfect location for DC. Front desk staff at check in was not polite. All other hotel staff were great.
  • Loved everything about my stay -- beautiful decor throughout the hotel, including rooms. Extremely comfortable beds, bedding and pillows. Quiet rooms. Wonderful shower. Delicious and fresh breakfast buffet. Helpful, cheerful and willing staff. Several concierges helped with maps, restaurant suggestions and reservations, etc. Felt very special during my whole stay. Excellent location. Free shuttle to convention center.
  • The room was very clean and pretty spacious. It had everything we needed. The bed was also very comfortable. We really liked the free continental breakfast.
  • Very nice room in a great location.
  • At my arrival, I was informed that I was going to be walked (bumped) to another nearby hotel since they were oversold. Even though I had a reservation with a paid credit card on record, I still got bumped. This was extremely dissapointing for me and gave me a bad feeling about the Mayflower Rennaisance.
