Tahiti is generally a pretty expensive place to visit, but every once in a while, a flurry of deals put this tropical paradise within reach of sun seekers on a budget.

Now is one of those times. Whether you’re ready to leave now or later this year, there are ways to get to Tahiti affordably. Here’s the scoop:

Air Tahiti Nui is running a Tahiti Quickie promotion for travel February 8 to 13 or 12 to 16. The cheapest deal includes round-trip airfare from Los Angeles, four nights at the Hilton Hotel Tahiti, and daily breakfast from $898. Packages including a suite are available from $1,298, or $1,398 for an overwater bungalow. All prices are before taxes and fees.

Brendan Vacations has five day, four night packages from $999 per person for travel from February 8 to 16. Packages include round-trip airfare, airport transfers, four nights at the Papeete Manava Suite Resort. The price includes airline fuel surcharges and hotel taxes but not air taxes. Distinguished Resorts is offering up to $500 off seven-night air-and-hotel vacation packages. For instance, from $1,789 per person (before taxes and fees) with airfare from LAX, accommodations at Le Meridien, and airport transfers. Bookings must be made by the end of April for travel through mid-December.
