Spooky savings with Salem's new Haunted Passport

Salem, Massachusetts, has announced a new Haunted Passport program, which will provide up to $150 in discounts at popular attractions, restaurants, and hotels. Perks include reduced admission prices, savings at local restaurants and retailers, and giveaways. Available for $13 apiece, the passes will bring in extra revenue for the city's security and public safety efforts and Halloween-themed events during the month of October, Salem's peak visitation period. More than 100,000 visitors came to Salem in October 2006.

Vendors participating in the Haunted Passport program include City View Trolley, Spellbound Tours, The New England Pirate Museum, and The Witch History Museum, among many others.

Additionally, the passport's savings are valid from October 1, 2007, through April 30, 2008, so you can avoid the October crowds but still take advantage of its perks.

Passports will be available starting August 15 at HauntedPassport.com (the site is not yet live as of press time). You can also get more information about the city at Salem.com.
