Ever been so full of rage at a delayed flight that you just want to punch someone? Maybe don't take your anger out on the pilot, who is probably not the reason for the delay—unless you want a free trip to jail. Donald Gee was waiting for his flight from Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia (and apparently making good use of his time by hitting the airport bar, as he was allegedly highly intoxicated), when he decided that he just couldn't take the delay anymore.
The NY Daily News reports that Gee began yelling at the pilot while everyone was waiting for the flight at the gate. Gee threatened to punch the pilot in the face, at which point the pilot told him, "You ain't getting on an airplane tonight!"
Gee goes and sits down, but then continues yelling at the pilot, screaming, "I was supposed to leave at 4:30!" and "I'll step outside anytime you want to!" To which the pilot replied, "You don't have to step outside, I'm standing right here!" After that, Gee gets up and hits the pilot in the face, before being taken down by bystanders, and eventually arrested, while asking, "What the hell are you arresting me for? I am drunk but that pilot is an (expletive) (expletive)!"
Gee was arrested and held on a $2,500 bond, and the flight was eventually canceled, proving that fighting the airline really doesn't pay.
