You may recall a few months back that Delta announced it would install in-flight Wi-Fi on all of its aircraft by the end of 2009. Well, Wi-Fi has arrived, at least on six Delta planes, with a total of 10 expected to have the service by year's end. Wi-Fi on flights of this length will cost $9.95, while longer flights will cost $12.95.
Delta plans to outfit the remainder of its fleet next year, and also start the process of upgrading Northwest's planes. While Delta's own aircraft should be done next year, the carrier doesn't expect installations on Northwest planes to begin until late in 2009.
