The online airfare deal site Airfarewatchdog.com has added new features many users will find helpful, including personalized city-to-city airfare email alerts. Previously, Airfarewatchdog.com subscribers would designate a departure city and request email alerts detailing the best deals from that city to dozens of U.S. and international cities.
You can still receive these emails, but now you can also designate specific city pairs. So, instead of being overwhelmed by a long list of fares that may or may not interest you, you can get alerts that only show fares with the departure and destination cities of your choice.
Another new feature is an email alert showing deals from all U.S. departure cities to a single designated international city. This is most helpful for people who can be flexible about their departure city. For example, you may live in Boston and want to travel to London, but Airfarewatchdog.com's international alert may show that you can fly from New York for $300 less. You can then determine if you're willing to go to New York to take advantage of the lower price.
Airfarewatchdog.com stresses its human touch in that it employs people who hand pick good airfares from a wide variety of sources instead of relying on computer data feeds. Because of this, it can't include all the possible options available, but it does do a lot of the legwork for you, presenting deals you may not have found on your own.
