The Midtown Manhattan-based Apple Core Hotels chain has entered the blogosphere. (Welcome, neighbor!) Normally I wouldn’t consider a new hotel blog terribly noteworthy, but this one—the curiously titled “No goldfish, no wheatgrass“—is approaching things a little differently.

Sure, it calls attention to sales and discounts offered by Apple Core, but it also points out other bargains in the Big Apple (special theatre savings and shopping discounts, for example) outside its own doors. It’s not exactly the Macy’s Santa Claus sending people to other department stores, but it’s not a bad resource all the same.
