Two Free Nights in Puerto Rico

There’s something to be said (and applauded) about perks, freebies, and bonuses, especially when it comes to traveling these days—where we have to pay extra just to be able to bring along a change of clothing. Sometimes a simple perk like a mint on your hotel pillow is enough to make you smile; but then there are those times when a deal comes along that offers something so worthwhile you feel you must take a trip just to take advantage of it. This happens to be one of those latter moments. Right now, you can get two free nights in Puerto Rico, and there are two different ways to do so.

If you tend to like neat little packages all wrapped and ready to go, then you’ll probably lean towards Delta Vacations’ Fabulously Free Nights in Puerto Rico promotion, which includes two free nights when you book three consecutive nights at a participating hotel. You can book your hotel and flight together to reduce your legwork. Package prices start at $469 per person (without taxes and fees), and include round-trip airfare from Detroit (other departure cities are available), five nights’ accommodations at the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza, airport transfers, and hotel taxes. Plus, many hotels are offering kids-stay-free promotions, daily breakfast, unlimited golf, spa discounts, and casino coupons. You must book by August 31, 2010, for travel between July 18 and October 30.

For those who like to book items individually, you might want to look into Hilton Worldwide Hotels and Resorts’ Five Night Getaway promotion. You’ll get two free nights when you book a three-night stay at one of the brand’s seven properties in Puerto Rico. Rooms typically start at $179 per night. Plus, you’ll also receive 20 percent off spa treatments and a casino match bet coupon. You must book by August 31, and travel by October 30.

Weigh both options carefully, and see which deal is right for you. And as always, both promotions are subject to availability, and blackout dates may apply.
