Earn Triple Points for JetBlue's Washington Flights

JetBlue was one the chief beneficiaries of the DOJ's mandate that American and US Airways divest some routes where the two carriers would enjoy outsized market and pricing power as a result of their merger.

At Washington-National airport (DCA), JetBlue was approved to gain 12 new slot pairs, bringing to 30 the number of daily departures the carrier can operate.

In addition to its existing routes to and from Washington-National, JetBlue will launch new DCA flights to Charleston, Hartford, and Nassau, on June 19, and to Cape Cod on June 26.

And to boost sales, the airline is turning to a reliable marketing tactic: bonus frequent-flyer points.

Offer Details

Between June 19 and August 30, TrueBlue members can earn triple points on all JetBlue flights to or from Washington-National airport.

There's no limit to the number of times the bonus may be earned.

Registration and booking must be completed by July 29.

Deal or No Deal

TrueBlue members normally earn three points per dollar, plus an additional three points for flights booked on jetblue.com. With the bonus, the base earning rate increases to nine points per dollar, plus the three-point bonus for booking with JetBlue, for a total of 12 points per dollar.

That's a decent bonus, made all the better for being the only one currently on offer for DCA flights.
